Community group focused on ethics, serving all Louisianans
supports Lt. Governor Landrieu’s re-election

NEW ORLEANS, La. (Wednesday, September 19, 2007) – Lieutenant Governor Mitch Landrieu earned the highly sought after endorsement of the Alliance for Good Government, a community organization of concerned citizens from all walks of life and political persuasions focused on ethics, integrity and service to all Louisianans. The Alliance announced its support of Lieutenant Governor Mitch Landrieu late Tuesday evening following a candidate forum.

“As our Lieutenant Governor, Mitch Landrieu sets high standards of ethics and demands accountability. He has always been a bipartisan leader of reform who brings Republicans, Democrats and Independents together to move Louisiana forward. We know Mitch will continue to foster good government and work hard for all of the people of our state,” Bob Moffett, Alliance for Good Government - Orleans Parish Chapter President, said.

Since 1967, the Alliance for Good Government’s members have worked to inform and assist the electorate in electing public officials with integrity to serve all factions of the community. The diverse group includes Republicans, Democrats, Independents and members from different backgrounds in Orleans, Jefferson, St. Bernard and St. Tammany parishes.

“I am honored to earn the support of concerned citizens who know the value of good government and share my belief that with strong ethics and accountability, we can push Louisiana towards real excellence, not just the Southern average,” Lt.
