Jalila Jefferson Bullock, candidate for the Louisiana State Senate, District 5, continues to reach out to the citizens of the District, hearing of their concerns and learning more about issues that must be addressed. Jefferson Bullock has attended numerous community and political forums, and has visited with thousands of District residents. Mrs. Jefferson Bullock looks forward to Election Day, Saturday, October 20, when the citizens of District 5 will have an opportunity to exercise their right to vote for the person who will best represent their interests.
"I am pleased with the enthusiastic support that I have received during this campaign. For the past four years as a member of the Louisiana House of Representatives, I have fought for good legislation and delivered resources that have had a most favorable impact on the citizens of our city and of my district.

"I am excited about the opportunity to continue to represent my fellow citzens as a member of the Louisiana State Senate. Election to this office will provide me with an enhanced opportunity to deliver greater resources to State Senate District 5, while the special responsibilities of the Senate will allow me a greater voice in determining the people who will represent our citizens on important Boards and Commissions. I have worked well with my colleagues in the Louisiana State Legislature, and I will consider it a special honor to continue my work with them on important projects and in advocating for and introducing legislation that helps to improve the quality of life for my fellow citizens.

I have lived in District 5 nearly all of my life. I grew up with, am a good friend of, and know so many good District residents. I am blessed to have an opportunity to still reside in the District, to raise my family here, and to be able to offer myself for continued public service to my fellow District residents".
