GRAMBLING MAYOR PRO TEM ENDORSES GEORGES FOR GOVERNOR

The Mayor Pro Tem of the City of Grambling this morning endorsed John Georges for governor.
“I’m supporting John Georges because I have all the confidence in the world that he is the very best candidate for this position,” Mayor Pro Tem Edward Jones said in announcing his endorsement. “He has shown he takes care of his employees. I have spoken with a number of them personally, and especially after Hurricane Katrina he contacted them and supported them financially. I know if he takes care of his employees like that, he will take care of all Louisiana like that.”
“I’m honored to receive the endorsement of Mayor Pro Tem Jones,” Georges said. “I am humbled that he recognizes my commitment to being governor for all the people of Louisiana, not a select few, not the political party elite, and not the special interests.”
“John Georges puts his work behind what he says,” Jones added. “He puts action behind his words.”
Jones’ endorsement is the latest from local officials and community leaders around the state.
“Our campaign continues to gain momentum,” Georges said. “As we move into the primary election on Saturday, I’m increasingly confident of our place in the runoff.”
