Mitch earns Louisiana Federation of Teachers endorsement
Citing Lt. Governor Mitch Landrieu’s commitment to public education and his support of literacy and arts-in-school initiatives, the Louisiana Federation of Teachers announced its endorsement of his candidacy for re-election. “Mitch Landrieu has taken the Lieutenant Governor’s office in an inspiring direction for Louisiana,” said LFT President Steve Monaghan. “He understands the important role that public education plays in the development of our state.” Click here to read the full endorsement.

Early voting ends October 13, Absentee ballots due
Make sure your vote for Mitch counts by taking advantage of early voting. You may cast your vote for state and local elections today in person at your parish Registrar of Voters office. Early voting ends Saturday, October 13.

When you go to your parish Registrar of Voters office to cast your vote, be sure to take a driver’s license, a Louisiana Special ID, or some other generally recognized picture ID. The Registrars will maintain regular office hours, remaining open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for each day of early voting. Click here to find contact information for your local Registrar of Voters.
