DUPLESSIS ANNOUNCES RE-ELECTION CAMPAIGN

(New Orleans, LA.). State Senator Ann D. Duplessis will seek re-election to the Louisiana State Senate. Senator Duplessis represents District 2, which incorporates Eastern New Orleans, the Lower Ninth Ward and Holy Cross.

Duplessis will be one of the most senior members of the senate and serves on the Commerce, Consumer Protection, International Affairs, Judiciary C, Revenue and Fiscal Affairs Committees. She is also the Vice-Chairman of Local and Municipal Affairs, and serves on the Consumer Affairs and Technology, and Women and Children Committees.

"The best asset that any legislator can bring to the citizenry is compassion, commitment, and ethics; “I will continue to take care of business for my constituents by BUILDING A SMART COMMUNITY THROUGH EDUCATION, FIGHTING FOR SAFER NEIGHBORHOODS, AND EMBRACING ECONOMIC GROWTH IN THE DISTRICT" says Duplessis.

The Louisiana Partnership for Children and Families recently named Duplessis Senator of the Year for her groundbreaking school readiness tax credit legislation. She continues to keep pressure on The Road Home Program to get the money into the hands of the people and wants to ensure a clean and safe environment for the citizens of District 2.
