Governor Candidates to Tackle New Orleans Recovery
Group of African American churches to host forum on New Orleans rebuilding
More than 1,000 New Orleanians are expected to be on hand to hear the candidates for the state’s
top office discuss the top problem facing Louisiana: the ongoing recovery of New Orleans.
The forum, hosted by Churches Supporting Churches, will throw a much-needed spotlight on
those still struggling in New Orleans. By highlighting the vital issues of housing and education,
organizers hope voters will learn more about each of the gubernatorial candidates’ views on
these rebuilding issues.
