Join the Fight in District 94

From Adrian:

It has been an exciting month; we are running strong and working hard.
As I walk through District 94 each day, I see positive signs and many
challenges. I hear the residents of this district; they clearly want
action from their representative in Baton Rouge. We need affordable
insurance, a solution to the blighted housing, the recovery money
disbursed now and a stop to the encroaching crime in mid-city. You want
action, I will bring action. Please review my plan for my first 30 days
in office; http://www.adrianbruneau.com/30days.html. I have outlined the
plan to tackle the tough challenges we all face.

We stand at the crossroads of really taking recovery and growth in
District 94 to a higher level. As a lifelong resident of District 94, it
is unacceptable that my opponent voted with the Blanco administration to
bust the spending cap by over a billion dollars. This money enabled
Governor Blanco to create 1200 new state jobs that we did not need. Our
state government per capita is double the size of California government,
incredible. There has been a lot of talk about how this vote to bust the
spending cap was used to save the Road Home Program, it is a flat out
lie. Twenty real fiscal conservatives noted correctly that with an 827
million dollar surplus it was not necessary to bust the cap.

Where were the calls to other legislators in coastal states to start a
discussion to form a state compact to create an insurance risk pool and
reduce rates?
Where was the legislation to solve the insurance crisis?
Where was the legislation to freeze payments to ICF and disburse the
Road Home money?
Where was the legislation to create a Gentilly or Mid-City Crime
prevention district?
Where was the legislation to help municipalities expedite blighted
housing back into commerce?
Where was your state legislator when you had important neighborhood
meetings? Not there?

This district can not wait any longer we need effective and responsive
representation and we need it now. I am stepping up to be that leader.

We need to cut the size of government and taxes in this state by 50%
across the board, which would be a good start. If we are to realize the
dream of economic development it will be accomplished by making
Louisiana a business friendly state, not over taxation and bloated
bureaucracy.

This race is about choosing a legislator that will put forward effective
legislation and will be responsive to the constituency of District 94.
It is not about a name or title; it is about choosing a real leader that
can really get the job done!
