Delgado Sponsors House of Representatives "Meet the Candidates" Forum

New Orleans, La. - The Delgado Community College Foundation, in cooperation with the Student Government Association (SGA), is sponsoring a Louisiana State "Meet the Candidates" forum on the City Park Campus (615 City Park Avenue in New Orleans) at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, October 3. The event will be held in the college gymnasium on the first floor of Building 11.

Candidates for the House of Representatives and Senate from legislative Districts 76, 77, 82, 93, 94 and 103 - districts in which Delgado has a campus or college site - have been invited to speak about their concerns regarding higher education. The event is free and open to students, faculty, staff and the public.

The forum will begin at 10 a.m. with a one-minute introduction and closing from the candidates with a question-and-answer period between. Questions will be provided by the Delgado SGA. The moderator for the event will be Norman Robinson, news anchor for WDSU-TV, Channel 6.

NOTE: Delgado's West Bank Campus will hold a separate forum for Representative candidates in its district.
