LOWER NINTH WARD STREETSCAPE COMMUNITY OPEN HOUSE

The City of New Orleans and MWH would like to invite citizens to a community open house to view the schematic design for the upcoming streetscape enhancement project on N. Claiborne Avenue from Andry Street to Lamanche Street and St. Claude Avenue from the bridge off-ramp on Reynes Street to Egania Street. The project, which has a construction budget of approximately $1.5 million, is funded by the Community Development Block Grant Program.

Based on input received at the February 2009 community meeting, Neel Schaffer, the design firm hired by the City of New Orleans, developed the schematic design. At this community open house, residents will have the opportunity to view the schematic design and see how the community prioritized specific amenities available as part of the streetscape enhancement project.

There will be a five-minute presentation given by representatives from Neel Schaffer at 6:30 p.m.

WHERE:
The Greater Little Zion Missionary Baptist Church
5130 Chartres Street

WHEN:
Wednesday, April 22
6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m
