100,000.00 To Elevate Your Home!

My mother always said that if something sounds too good to be true, it usually is.
Year after Katrina and the conception of the “LONG” Road Home, the Louisiana Recovery Authority is now offering applicants a chance to elevate their homes for $100,000.00. The initial amount was $30,000.00 with a few years to get it completed. This proves to be impossible for some homeowners when companies charged $90,000.00 for basic elevation. Left with little options, some homeowners took what was offered and did what they could to insure the safety of their homes.

I would advise anyone not to be fooled by the “Golden Calf”.

For most of us homeowners, just to get enough capital to repair our property, we had to have our insurance company on the deed in addition to FEMA and the State. So just think, if you take this money, who is going to be placed on your deed and for how long?
People please do not fall for the same old trick of our State’s Government.
