SUNO’s International Week begins with Cao speech

NEW ORLEANS, LA - Southern University at New Orleans (SUNO) will
celebrate its annual International Week from March 16th to 20th. To
start the week off, the university will have United States
Representative Anh "Joseph" Cao (La.-2nd District) serve as a guest
speaker. Congressman Cao will speak on Monday, March 16, 2009 at 11 a.m.
in the Knights’ Café (cafeteria) on the Park Campus at 6400 Press Dr.

The schedule for the remainder of the week is as follows:
Tue., March 17th & Wed. March 18th
Interdepartmental multicultural contest
University departments will be challenged to create displays which
reflect their multicultural spirit!

Thur., March 19th, 9:30 a.m.
"Women Taking the Lead to Save the Planet"

The panel discussion will address women’s place in world affairs, and
will include a Global Quiz.
Lake Campus, Building 43

Fri., March 20th, 11 a.m.
A Taste of Global Dishes

The festival consists of food samples from around the world, including
feature dishes and music from Jamaica. Prizes will be awarded to the
winners of the interdepartmental multicultural contest and winners of
the Global Quiz. Music by DJ Ray.
Lake Campus Tent

All International Week events are free and open to the public. For
