RANORD IS RUNNING FOR MUNICIPAL COURT JUDGE

Hello My Friends,

It is with great pride and enthusiasm that I am writing to inform you of my decision to enter the April 4, 2009 election for Municipal Court Judge here in New Orleans. I firmly believe that this is the position in which I can best continue to serve this community, which is my home. My diverse experience and education make me uniquely qualified to serve as a Municipal Court Judge. By this communication I am seeking the support of my friends and colleagues who are familiar with my life and career. I have cultivated a reputation of competence and professionalism. I hope that I have earned your confidence in my abilities as an attorney such that you are willing to share your confidence with your family, friends and acquaintances. I will need the support of the entire community as I undertake this challenge.

As a practicing attorney in this community for the past 17 years, I have demonstrated the qualities necessary for judicial leadership: integrity, preparation, legal knowledge, and control over judicial proceedings. I have faith in the citizens of New Orleans and believe that our voters are seeking first and foremost for fairness, integrity and experience in their judges—all areas in which I have a proven record. At this time, when funding is low and caseloads are high, I will guarantee that every case will receive the time and attention it deserves, with the goal of bringing each matter to a legal and just resolution.

I have served in the capacities of Ad Hoc Judge, Juvenile Traffic Referee and Hearing Officer since 2000 and believe that I have developed the skills, temperament and experience necessary to serve as Judge. After my years adjudicating disputes I believe that I am most qualified candidate in this race and most prepared to take the next step to the bench.

Again, I am seeking your help and support in making this campaign successful. I am assembling “TEAM DARENSBURG” - “Citizens to support the candidacy of Ranord J. Darensburg for Municipal Court Judge”. I need your help. I am writing to you as one of my closet friends. I am working hard to win this election and would really appreciate any advice, support or assistance you are able to offer.

I would love the opportunity to speak to you about my decision and what I will bring to the Municipal Court bench. I am actively planning a great announcement event, please be there.
